WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT FOR YOUR BUSINESS NAME?​

There are a couple of reasons  why we fell in love with the name "The Fat Section" and had to use it for our business. 1. Like many of us the struggle to find plus size clothing can be extremely disappointing, so when my bestie & I go shopping we always find our selves asking each other "where is the fat section"? We have always had the ability and confidence to speak openly about our size and how much we love our selves none the less. This brings me to the second reason, fat is too often thrown around in a derogatory fashion and I'm over it! I hope to help desensitize the word fat and help you to feel fabulous no matter your size!

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

The Fat Section is an online store. At this stage we do not have a physical shop, however, we hope too in the future. We are based in NSW.

WHAT BRANDS DO YOU STOCK?

 

Being preloved means that we are able to source a huge range of brands new, well known, unkown & everything in between. The brands that we offer will all depend on what is available and what we can source. Some of the brands that we stock are City Chic, ASOS, Autograph, Avenue, Stax, Exotica Athletica, New Look, Puma, Mimco, Good American, Crossroads, Dazie, Forever 21, HNM, Zara, Showpo, Forever New, Pretty Little Thing, Sara, Missguided, Atmos & Here, Collusion, Sussan, Just Jeans, Levi's, Mika & Muse plus many others. We don't focus purely on the brand but rather the style/quality of the garment.

WHERE ARE THE CLOTHES SOURCED?

All of our items are sourced in NSW. We have suppliers that provide us with garments that are sorted and select what we want to stock at The Fat Section, we also scour many Op Shops & Preloved Boutiques. This is one of the benefits of shopping with us - we rummage for you and provide a shortlist of pieces in a range of different styles. We dont want to give away all of our secrets just yet!

With a bit of common sense and a lot of research. We guarantee that our prices are always fair and affordable. When we price our items we take into consideration the quality, brand, style & its "sellability".
